How to Write a Book
Writing a book is not difficult. An author must first possess two things... inspiration and resolve.
Inspiration has many sources. Life experiences, in-depth knowledge of a subject matter or even a dream. A person may be an avid book reader and one day realize that he or she could write a much better story than the one they have just completed. The thought could come from anywhere, but it is made of the stuff that impels a person to share with others that which they find interesting or entertaining. Much as one friend will share with another friend an interesting happening. Authors will jot down their ideas, outline them and develop them into that which they feel will instruct or entertain others.
Attributes, such as "creativity" and "gifted" will develop during the actual writing process if they are there to begin with. Most authors would like that question answered.
It takes resolve to finish a work once it is begun. There will be hours of writing notes, outlines, typing and re-typing. Editing and researching. A new author will need support and input from family and friends before the goal is achieved. It can be a very rewarding and fulfilling experience for everyone involved from start to finish.
Once your thoughts are compiled into a completed manuscript is where your trouble begins.
You must now get it published. This will involve your first rejection letter informing you that a publishing company will not accept any manuscript that is not presented by an agent. Then you must find an honest agent that will require a sizable commission from every book you sell. The reputed time line for getting your manuscript to publication is twelve to eighteen months.
